About Me
My name is Tara. This website is a chronicle of my journey towards balance and well-being through the process of redefining my relationship with food. It began in January of 2005 and continues today. I have lost a significant amount of weight and radically changed the way in which I eat, exercise, and feel. I wouldn't have believed I could do this over three years ago. I was trapped in an addictive yo-yo cycle of over-eating and self-deprivation. I didn't feel I had what it took to be fit; that there was something that separated me from those who had control of their bodies. But, through perseverance and self-reflection, I've created new habits that actually don't feel like an effort to maintain. So, I hope you'll join me as I continue to emerge from the "food fog!"
